TRUTH Project

The first of its kind, TRUTH is an exploratory study to assess what has been erased and effaced in order to reclaim what was grabbed by the University. TRUTH uses place-based, Tribally-led research designed to tell the story of Tribal-University relations from an Indigenous perspective.

A Campus Divided

Political battles raged at the University of Minnesota, and on campuses throughout the United States, from the 1930s to the early 1940s. The University of Minnesota was divided over issues, which included racism, antisemitism, opposition to war, and student rights.
